The Sacrament of the Altar is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions. It is celebrated in the joyous confidence that the bread and wine is Christ’s true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins. Besides receiving Christ’s Body and Blood in this Sacrament, all who commune at this altar also make a confession of the faith that is confessed in the congregations of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, witnessing to our doctrinal unity in the Christian faith.

Therefore, those who have not been instructed in the Lutheran faith, or who hold membership / commune in another fellowship, are asked to refrain from receiving communion at this time. Speak to Pastor about classes that will prepare you to receive communion according to God’s Word.

Visiting members of other Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregations who wish to commune, please contact Pastor at 530.342.6085 in order to announce for Holy Communion.

Communicants: Examine your life and faith (see 1 Corinthians 11:27) as you come to receive the true body and blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. Use “Christian Questions and Answers” p. 329 (Lutheran Service Book) for self-examination. Individual confession and absolution is offered through appointment.
